A personal, unique ceremony, all about the two of you - your day, your way

Humanist wedding celebrant based in Gower covering Swansea and surrounding areas

The perfect beginning to start the rest of your lives

Just got engaged? Been together for years and looking to tie the knot? Are you looking for a wedding that is welcoming, inclusive, and personally tailored to you? A wedding that focuses on your love story and the things that are important to you as a couple?

Then you’re in the right place as I love a wedding!

A humanist wedding is different from a civil or register office ceremony as it’s entirely personalised, focussing on you, your love and your story.  Your wedding can take place anywhere that you feel is significant to the two of you.

As a wedding celebrant, I believe that every couple deserves a ceremony that reflects their unique love story and personalities.

It can be a small and intimate ceremony just for your nearest and dearest in your garden or home, on a beach, a park or a more traditional wedding at a venue or hotel. The choice is yours.

I’ll work with you to create a ceremony that’s not only meaningful, but also entertaining and engaging.

A bespoke ceremony, telling your story in a way that no other kind of wedding ceremony can.  From humorous anecdotes to heart-warming stories, I’ll weave together a ceremony that celebrates your love in a way that’s uniquely you.

Most importantly, with over 20 years experience, I can create a ceremony that you and your guests will remember for years to come, bringing warmth, humour, and professionalism to your special day, so that you can relax and enjoy every moment of it.

So, let’s get started! I can’t wait to hear more about your plans for your wedding ceremony and make it a reality.

About Margaret

Margaret is a celebrant accredited to Humanists UK and has worked as a celebrant and registrar at Swansea Council for over 20 years conducting ceremonies.

She delights in creating very personal ceremonies, making wedding memories for couples who want a truly bespoke gathering.

A woman with shoulder-length hair smiles at the camera, wearing a dark floral top and a multicolored necklace, set against a black background, embodying the elegance often seen in bespoke wedding ceremonies held in Swansea or on the scenic Gower Peninsula.

What makes it different?

A humanist ceremony is everything you need it to be with as much or as little detail as you want.

A bespoke ceremony - just about the two of you

I will work with you to listen to your story, write a ceremony script that will be unique to the two of you and deliver it on your special day

Not sure what to include?

I can guide you through a choice of readings, music and symbolic rituals, like handfasting or ring warming, how to include your family and friends (and pets!) in your ceremony. If you'd like to say your own personal vows to each other, but don't know where to start, I can help you craft those special words.

Your wedding day

Yes, weddings can be stressful, but I'll be there to calm your nerves if you need reassurance and will be there every step of the way to make sure your wedding is the perfect day to start the rest of your lives

With over 20 years experience conducting ceremonies with the Registration Service, you and your ceremony will be in safe hands.

TestimonialS

I am H’s mother, so I thought I knew their story…..but the way The Gower Celebrant told it, was just incredible. It had just the right balance of all the emotions and the way that you weaved O’s speech and my reading into it was amazing. It honestly was the most perfect ceremony.

Your guidance and collaboration on the ceremony made us feel like a team and you created the most unique and intimate ceremony with our closest family and friends.

The day was incredible. Throughout the day people did not stop telling us how much they enjoyed the ceremony. A lot saying how it was the best ceremony they have ever been too. People were singing your praise! Asking about the process and saying how beautifully you tied everything together.
