Personal, realistic, reflecting on who you are. They can become something you revisit each year on your anniversary — a gentle check-in, reminding you of the intentions you set together. Living words that continue to shape a shared life.If you’d like a personalised wedding and would like to say vows to each other but you’re not sure how to get started, think about a humanist ceremony. I can help guide you through meaningful questions to help shape your vows, with prompts, suggested words and phrases and gentle structure, making the process stress free.Alyson and Harriet, Penclawdd

Is it really a year since Atlanta and Davey’s cere Is it really a year since Atlanta and Davey’s ceremony @grovegolfclub?These two celebrated with their nearest and dearest and it was a privilege for me to tell their love story. From watching the stars on their first dates to a proposal with fairy lights (just in case it was cloudy and the stars were hidden), with an interesting take on a visit to Stonehenge, driving lessons and Rupert the dog in the mix too! There were declarations and vows, an exchange of rings and a beautiful handfasting – it was a real joy to be a part of their celebrations. For more details on how a humanist wedding is personalised to you and your love story, do get in touch.Photos @daniel_brown_photography#thegowercelebrant #swanseawedding #gowerwedding #weddingcelebrant #humanistwedding #humanistcelebrant #humanistceremonies #dogsatweddings

On this rather wet and windy day, here’s a look ba On this rather wet and windy day, here’s a look back at brighter times from Rebecca and Ian’s sun-drenched ceremony in the garden @fairyhill last summer and in particular, their handfasting. They invited their children to choose the cords for the handfasting, asking each of them to pick a colour that represented a feeling or hope for the marriage. One chose azure blue for kindness, another sage for unconditional love, a third chose lavender for loyalty and the final cord was peacock blue to represent family. As they bound the cords around their parents’ hands, I spoke the emotions aloud, turning the simple ritual into something even more personal, a living expression of family, love, and shared intention, making the moment feel unmistakably authentic and heartfelt. If you’re planning your wedding and would like to talk about how personalised a humanist ceremony can be, do get in touch, I'd love to hear from you.Ceremony photo: @grahamdavieswedding#thegowercelebrant #gowerwedding #swanseawedding #handfasting #weddingcelebrant #swanseacelebrant #humanistcelebrant #humanistwedding #humanistceremonies
It was St Dwynwen’s Day yesterday, the Welsh patro It was St Dwynwen’s Day yesterday, the Welsh patron of love and it was also the first anniversary of Mike and Kirsty’s wedding ceremony at the @oxwichbayhotel.The words above are what Kirsty and Mike had to say about the experience of working together with me to create their ceremony. It was a privilege to share their love story and witness their heartfelt vows. For these two who love the beach the blending of sand from their three favourite beaches, was a perfect ritual.
The sands used can be different colours but Kirsty and Mike chose sands from different places all of which have significant memories for them. Sand from Oxwich Bay where they love to walk with the dogs and where they chose to celebrate their marriage, from Rhosneigr on Anglesey, representing North Wales, where they first met, the beach where they had their first date and where Mike proposed and sand from Newton Beach, where they love to spend time as a family. As they blended their sands, cellist @nerysclark played the beautiful "The River Flows in You" by Yiruma – it was a very special moment.Photo: @scoularfishphotographyIf you’d like to have a chat about how a personalised wedding ceremony can tell your unique love story, please get in touch.#thegowercelebrant #gowerwedding #swanseawedding #weddingcelebrant #humanistcelebrant #humanistwedding #humanistceremonies #beachweddings
HUG /hʌɡ/ Verb: to squeeze (someone) tightly in on HUG /hʌɡ/
Verb: to squeeze (someone) tightly in one's arms, typically to express affection.Origin : mid 16th century: probably of Scandinavian origin and related to Norwegian hugga ‘comfort, console’.A hug can mean a lot - comfort, affection, together with congratulations and they tend to abound in my wedding ceremonies when emotions run high.If you're planning your wedding and are looking for a meaningful and heartfelt ceremony - with or without hugs - do get in touch. 2027 and 2028 diaries are now open.Venues:
